I think the time has come…
Time to shut this old girl down, guys.
I have a few words before I part with this main page, however.
In case you can’t recognize, this is Erica. I am the original founder of Xaviers. I remember making the page and the original character graphics and waiting in nervousness and anxiousness to open this roleplay.
This roleplay is my baby. For the last eight or so months, this is one of the best things that has ever happened to me. And I mean, in hindsight, maybe thats pathetic or sad, but it’s so very truthful. Xaviers gave me a place to write. It inspired me daily. I logged on and felt like I was home, a second home at least. Xaviers gave me my writing muse back. And it gave me all of you. I don’t know where I would be without you guys. You are all amazing and I’m so glad to have met you. So glad to be able to write with you, and for those continuing over to the second chapter, to be able to continue to write with you.
Lord knows that this roleplay has seen some times. The massively active dashes to dead nights where we all just sat and watched Shantor do fucking cute shit. When we all cried together over Michael losing his eye. All the epic ships that came and went, as well as massively epic characters that got a place and start her and have developed and evolved here.
Watching people improve—hello, Kayla, you are beautiful and amazing.
The kind of eerie and creepy times—Mary why did you apply seven different times with seven different names?
And some drama along the way that never seemed able to sink our unsinkable ship (oh fuck did I just doom us? …Nah).
You know that really good feeling when you finally finish a book? This is like that. When you close it and sit and bask and think “God, that was awesome.” I have no regrets about closing Xavier’s down and opening Sector Eight. I want this roleplay to continue going on for as long as it possibly can. I want these characters for as long as we can.
As a closing statement, I want you guys to know that being your admin is truly an honor. Helping and coaching and loving you guys down to my core has been nothing but a blessing for me. I am the luckiest admin in the world to have a roleplay group as wonderful and amazing as you guys.
I want to kiss you all, but I think that might be creepy, considering I’m a nineteen year old from New Jersey.
Just know that from me to you, I love you, I love you, I love you!
See you guys on Sector Eight.
I’m sorry, but we’re not accepting characters into this RP right now. You’re better off just applying for Sector Eight.
Sad face. Hope life’s not too hectic!
Yes, we also missed Kori. We also screamed a little.
WE LOVE YOU, KORI.
Publishing so everyone knows.
Seeing how Sector Eight has gained interest…
and we have three applications waiting to be approved…
We are looking to open the roleplay officially come this weekend. I know that’s soon and probably a lot sooner than everyone thought it would be, but we’re all very excited about it and want to start it as soon as possible.
What does this mean?
Like we said, you can’t start Sector Eight until you have your updated info, but that doesn’t mean once Saturday comes you aren’t allowed in the roleplay. Take as long as you need, you’re always welcome, but the roleplay will start without you.
Thanks for understanding!
Fffff schooooool! But thank you for letting us know! Hope to hear from you soon!
Everything on Sector Eights main page is completely up to date. We also have the one year time jump summary.
Now is the time to start making your bios. I can’t stress this enough but you cannot join the new roleplay until we have your updated bio. We also suggest making a new tumblr in order to keep everything organized. If you are currently using a side blog YOU MUST MAKE A NEW TUMBLR. No exceptions. This is a must.
We want to open Sector Eight as soon as possible. You have all the information you need to start writing your new bios, so please get them done as quickly as you can. If you’d like to drop your old character and make a new one, feel free, that is also allowed. But you must re-audition with that new character.
We might be starting as early as next week and don’t want to leave anyone out.
In a years time…
With Summer and Graduation on the way, the students of Xaviers School for Gifted were buzzing. Youth and excitement can’t be ignored. Everything seems well for them, until tragedy in the city strikes for what feels like the hundredth time. Only now it’s something so devastating that no one could possibly recover. Mid May, it’s Professor Xavier and Summers who journey to the city, for a peaceful protest. Professor Xavier with his plans on a speech and Summers as his right hand man, there wasn’t supposed to be any Danger in the city. But even Professor Xaviers and Summers can’t predict assassination. It isn’t the Brotherhood who kill the two most important people residing at Xaviers School for Gifted, but an anti-mutant terrorist group.
With X and Summers both deceased, the school shuts down, but stays open to give a place for young mutants to stay in such turbulent and troublesome times.
Things only seem to get worse for the mutants as time goes on. June comes around and the Mutant Registration Act is passed. The government begins to conduct raids on known mutant households, organizations and bases, such as the Shanty Towns that mutants created for themselves. Those deemed as a danger to society are forcibly tagged, but fortunately for the students at Xaviers, they have yet to be discovered.
The Sector’s are created. Barricaded areas designed to keep people in—the construction is revealed to be exactly that. By August, the Brotherhood has developed a near army, but unfortunately find it’s not enough, as they strike an attack on the city that ultimately fails. Magneto is captured, registered and shipped to a Maximum Security sector where no one’s heard from him since. The Brotherhood disbands and disperses and all hope for mutants seems to be lost with them.
Come September, it’s all lost. The school is discovered and raided. Along with the raid, many students are captured and forcibly tagged. With the students and all the mutants they could find rounded up, Sector 8 is finally constructed.
From September on, it’s merely a struggle for survival until present day May.
[This does not mean that Xaviers is shut down just yet. We’re still fine tuning the main page. But it is soon. Please note that if you have NOT given us your new and updated characters bio, you will not be allowed in Sector 8. No exceptions. Thank you! And if you have any questions at all, please feel free to ask.]
